Our trip around the world will prove Snowdune's technology and test how easy it is to update and maintain from internet cafes. It will also be an opportunity for us to improve our writing and photographic skills.

This page reflects our evolving thoughts on possible future directions for Snowdune.

• Opening up Snowdune - I don't know whether other people will be interested in contributing to Snowdune. If they are, Snowdune's technology fully supports supports content creation and editing across multiple contributors so it would be pretty straightforward to enable. I would want to restructure the site somewhat to make it easier for visitors to follow each contributor's travels.

• Geocoding Support - everybody is familiar with the web's word-based search systems but people are increasingly thinking of ways of enabling location-based searching. Snowdune's content is well suited for this.

• Enhanced mapping - it would be excellent to be able to zoom into the map in the mapping section.
